Hankook proudly supports the Northampton Saints along with rugby fans worldwide.
Since 2009 Hankook Tyre UK and Northampton Saints have had one of the most prolific sponsorship partnerships anywhere in rugby union.
This period has coincided with Northampton Saints’ most successful ever era, reaching multiple cup finals and showcasing the Hankook Tyre UK brand to a global audience.
During this time the club has won the 2014 Aviva Premiership and European Rugby Challenge Cup double, finished top of the Aviva Premiership table (2015), won the 2010 Anglo-Welsh Cup and 2009 European Rugby Challenge Cup, and reached the finals of the Aviva Premiership (2013) and European Rugby Champions Cup (2011).
All of these showpiece occasions have been televised live in over 100 countries, with global broadcast partners including BT Sport and Sky Sports (UK), SFR and beIN Sport (France), NBCSN (USA), Fox Sports (Australia) and ESPN (South America).
Some of the world’s best rugby players have worn the Saints’ famous black, gold and green in this time, including England’s 2016 Grand Slam-winning captain Dylan Hartley, British and Irish Lions winger George North, French superstar Louis Picamoles, and South African legend Victor Matfield, along with a host of household names from across the globe.
Closer to home Hankook Tyre UK has been able to develop its brand with the Saints’ ABC1 audience, using initiatives such as facilitating complimentary winter tyre testing and PR opportunities like the Hankook Power Lap to promote sales.
Northampton Saints plc, the club’s parent company, remains English rugby’s most commercially successful operation, reporting profits for all of the past 16 years, an unmatched feat within the sport and rare anywhere in the sector.
Northampton Saints and Hankook Tyre UK announced a two-year extension to their Elite Sponsorship in 2016 and are looking forward to a continuation of what has been a mutually beneficial relationship.
